How SENDO buy-and-burn works

Part of the Send.Do app fee buys SENDO, which is then burned. Live totals of SENDO bought and burned, the current supply and the burn receipts.

Last verified

Live figures below are read on the server from the public Reserve report and Solana, and refresh about once a minute.

The short answer

Every supported trade on Send.Do pays one 1% app fee. Part of that fee, 0.3% of the trade value (30% of the fee), is used to buy SENDO. The SENDO bought is then burned: destroyed onchain, which permanently lowers SENDO's total supply.

Where the money comes from

The 1% app fee is split four ways. These shares make up the 1%; they are not added on top. Pool and Solana network fees are separate.

How a burn happens

  1. A trade pays the app fee, shown in the quote before you sign.
  2. After the fees settle, the SENDO share is used to buy SENDO.
  3. The SENDO bought is burned in an onchain transaction from the SENDO buy-and-burn wallet. A burn removes the tokens for good and lowers the total supply.
  4. The purchase and the burn each have a public transaction you can open on Solscan.

Bought and burned can differ for a short time: SENDO that has been bought but not yet burned waits in the buy-and-burn wallet.

What buy-and-burn is not

  • It is not a payment to SENDO holders. The fee is never paid straight to holders.
  • It is not a promise about SENDO's price or value.
  • It is separate from community-mint burns, which burn SENDO from the minter's wallet and are tracked on Supply & burns.
